Summer can be a bit tricky for landscape photographers, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get great photos on a hot day. This great video shows you five awesome summer landscape photo ideas.
Coming to you from Marc Denney, this video details five great ideas for summer landscape photography. Landscape photographers often lament the onset of summer, because despite the good weather, it can actually be the least visually appealing of the four seasons. That being said, that doesn’t mean you can’t shoot at all. Personally, I love summer landscape photography because I approach it a little differently. Considering the good weather, it’s a lot of fun to just pack my camera with one lens and go for a long hike. Often times I will make this a longer lens, like my macro 100 mm. Since summer light can often be a bit harsher and harder for long hours, using a longer lens to select more detail and abstract compositions can be a great way to manage the light. Check out the video above for Denney’s awesome ideas.
