Jeff Johnson, who will be speaking at the August meeting of the Loveland Photographic Society, created a unique workshop: Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) with Cell Phone Cameras.
Participants will visit a King Soopers grocery store and photograph in the floral and produce sections, hanging out with all the colors and colors that come with fruits, vegetables and flowers.
It will be a step away from reality and a challenge for the creativity of photographers. Abstract imagery that only your imagination can create will be put to the test.
Johnson will share his fun techniques for camera movement, exposure times, painting and more. It will show you how to use the “Slow Shutter” app for iPhone or manual camera controls on your Android or Google phones. He will demonstrate how he creates colorful and unique summaries, and then leave participants free to create their own summaries.
During the final 30 minutes of this tour, Johnson will explain how to edit and enhance summaries in Snapseed (phone and tablet) and in Lightroom and Photoshop on desktop.
This workshop is designed as a comfortable and informal event so that everyone has the chance to shoot, ask questions and learn.
All skill levels are welcome and encouraged to attend. Bring your cell phone with the Slow Shutter Cam app (for iOS) or the Long Exposure Camera 2 app (for Android).
This event will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, July 22 at the King Soopers store, 1275 Eagle Drive in Loveland.
